C (0 <br /> RESOLUTION OF INTENTION TO ABANDON PORTIONS OF PUBLIC <br /> STREETS IN ACCORDANCE WITH PART 3 OF DIVISION 9, <br /> STREETS AND HIGHWAYS CODE OF THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA; <br /> SETTING TIME AND PLACE FOR HEARING ALL PERSONS <br /> INTERESTED IN OR OBJECTING TO THE PROPOSED VACATION; <br /> AND ORDERING POSTING OF NOTICE OF SUCH PROPOSED VACATION <br /> WHEREAS, a portion of Broadway and portions of Douglas Avenue <br /> in the City of Redwood City, heretofore dedicated as public streets, <br /> are not needed for present or prospective street purposes; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Redwood City intends to <br /> vacate and abandon said portions of Broadway and Douglas Avenue <br /> pursuant to the provisions of Part 3 of Division 9 of the Streets <br /> and Highways Code; <br /> NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br /> AS FOLLOWS: <br /> 1. The City Council hereby declares its intention to vacate <br /> a portion of Broadway and portions of Douglas Avenue, as herein- <br /> after described, subject to the reservation of certain easements <br /> therein hereinafter described, and elects to proceed with such <br /> vacation and abandonment pursuant to the provisions of Part 3 of <br /> Division 9 of the Streets and Highways Code. <br /> 2. The portion of Broadway and the portions of Douglas <br /> Avenue to be vacated are as indicated on the plat on file in the <br /> office of the City Clerk, entitled "City of Redwood City, California <br /> - Department of Public Works - Proposed Rolison Road Extension," <br /> dated October, 1969, and designated "M- 2054," and together with <br /> the easements excepted and reserved therefrom are more particularly <br /> described as follows: <br />
