. . • ' All that portion of Douglas Avenue, 60.00 feet in width, adjacent to Lots 7 and 8 of Block 7, and Lots 8, 9, and 21 of Block 6, all as shown on said map, from the easterly prolongation of the northerly line of Broadway to the easterly portion of Douglas Avenue abandoned by Resolution No. 5912, dated February 24, 1969; RESERVING AND EXCEPTING from said Parcels A, B and C a perpetual easement and right of way for the construction, installation, operation, replacement, removal, and renewal of sanitary sewers and storm drains and appurtenant structures, and the con- struction, maintenance, operation, replacement, removal, renewal and enlargement of lines of pipe, conduits, cables, wires, poles, and other convenient structures, equipment and fixtures for the operation of gas pipe lines, telegraphic and telephone lines, and for the transportation or distribution of electric energy, water, and incidental purposes in, upon, and over the aforesaid Parcels A, B and C. 3. The City Council hereby determines that the public convenience and necessity require the reservation and exception of the easements for the public utility purposes as described in paragraph 2 above, and hereby declares that all proceedings taken hereunder shall be subject to such reservation and exception. 4. Notice is hereby given that Monday, March 22, 1971, at the hour of 7 :30 o'clock p.m., in the Board of Supervisors' Chambers, Hall of Justice and Records, Redwood City, California, is the time and place set for hearing all persons interested in or objecting to the proposed vacation. 5. The City Clerk is hereby directed to cause notice of the proposed vacation to be made in accordance with the provisions of Section 8322 of the Streets and Highways Code, and to cause publication of this resolution to be made in the same manner as ordinances of the City of Redwood City. -3-
