. . <br /> • ' <br /> All that portion of Douglas Avenue, 60.00 feet in <br /> width, adjacent to Lots 7 and 8 of Block 7, and <br /> Lots 8, 9, and 21 of Block 6, all as shown on said <br /> map, from the easterly prolongation of the northerly <br /> line of Broadway to the easterly portion of Douglas <br /> Avenue abandoned by Resolution No. 5912, dated <br /> February 24, 1969; <br /> RESERVING AND EXCEPTING from said Parcels A, B and C <br /> a perpetual easement and right of way for the <br /> construction, installation, operation, replacement, <br /> removal, and renewal of sanitary sewers and storm <br /> drains and appurtenant structures, and the con- <br /> struction, maintenance, operation, replacement, <br /> removal, renewal and enlargement of lines of pipe, <br /> conduits, cables, wires, poles, and other convenient <br /> structures, equipment and fixtures for the operation <br /> of gas pipe lines, telegraphic and telephone lines, <br /> and for the transportation or distribution of <br /> electric energy, water, and incidental purposes in, <br /> upon, and over the aforesaid Parcels A, B and C. <br /> 3. The City Council hereby determines that the public <br /> convenience and necessity require the reservation and exception <br /> of the easements for the public utility purposes as described in <br /> paragraph 2 above, and hereby declares that all proceedings taken <br /> hereunder shall be subject to such reservation and exception. <br /> 4. Notice is hereby given that Monday, March 22, 1971, at <br /> the hour of 7 :30 o'clock p.m., in the Board of Supervisors' Chambers, <br /> Hall of Justice and Records, Redwood City, California, is the <br /> time and place set for hearing all persons interested in or <br /> objecting to the proposed vacation. <br /> 5. The City Clerk is hereby directed to cause notice of the <br /> proposed vacation to be made in accordance with the provisions <br /> of Section 8322 of the Streets and Highways Code, and to cause <br /> publication of this resolution to be made in the same manner as <br /> ordinances of the City of Redwood City. <br /> -3- <br />
