EXHIBIT_. <br /> • <br /> SECTION 00800 <br /> SPECIAL CONDITIONS <br /> 1.01 HOURS OF CONSTRUCTION <br /> A. Working hours shall be from 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday, unless otherwise authorized by <br /> the city engineer. <br /> 1.02 PLANS <br /> A. Those certain plans entitled, Emergency Vehicle Preemption Project 2010 consisting of eleven (11) <br /> sheets are hereby made part of this contract. <br /> B. The City Standard Specifications and Details. <br /> C. State of California, Department of Transportation, "Standard Specifications" and "Standard Plans," are <br /> hereby made a part of this contract. <br /> 1.03 TIME OF COMPLETION <br /> A. The work covered under this BASE BID as defined in these Contract Documents shall be diligently <br /> prosecuted in accordance with the schedule proposed by the Contractor and approved by the Engineer to <br /> insure completion within thirty (30) calendar days from the date of Notice to Proceed. <br /> B. Time for performance shall start running on the day after the date of the Notice to Proceed, and shall run <br /> continuously thereafter, including Saturdays, Sundays and legal holidays, subject to such extensions <br /> and /or restrictions as may from time -to -time during the course of the work be effectuated by change <br /> orders duly executed. <br /> 1.04 DAMAGES FOR DELAYS <br /> A. Liquidated damages, for the period of time that any portion of the work remains unfinished after the time <br /> fixed for completion in the Contract Documents, as modified by extensions of time granted by the Owner, <br /> it is understood and agreed by the Contractor and the Owner that the contractor shall pay the Owner Five <br /> hundred and No /100 Dollars ($500.00) per day liquidated damages. <br /> 1.05 GENERAL TRAFFIC CONTROL, SAFETY & ACCESS <br /> A. Contractors shall comply with Section 01550, Traffic Regulations, or as directed. <br /> B. Contractor shall be responsible for supplying, placing and maintaining all construction signs, lighted <br /> barricades, cones, and other related traffic safety equipment to assure the safety of motorists as well as <br /> pedestrians.- Detours shall conform to the Standard Plans and California MUTCD. <br /> C. Contractor has immediate access to the work site within the corporate limits of Redwood City. Contractor <br /> shall limit his activities within the area indicated as limits of the Contract. No work shall proceed on site <br /> unless temporary barriers, fences, gates and protection are installed and functioning. <br /> 1.06 UTILITY SHUTDOWN <br /> A. No utility shall be disconnected without prior written approval of the Engineer. <br /> B. In the event operations of this project require that there be a temporary utility shutdown, the Contractor <br /> shall submit, in writing, notice of this requirement at least forty -eight (48) hours in advance of the <br /> operation. <br /> 1.07 DRAWINGS ON SITE <br /> A. , A complete set of Plans and Specifications shall be kept continuously at the site.
