G.10-5 <br />RESOLUTION NO. <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF <br />AGREEMENT WITH THE COUNTY OF SAN MATEO FOR CERTAIN <br />SERVICES RELATING TO GENERAL MUNICIPAL ELECTION OF <br />NOVEMBER 4, 2003 <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of Section 4 of the Charter of the City of <br />Redwood City and Ordinance No. 2078, adopted April 11, 1994, the General Municipal <br />Election of the City of Redwood City shall be held in said City on the first Tuesday after <br />the first Monday in November of each odd - numbered year; and <br />WHEREAS, the General Municipal Election of the City of Redwood City shall be <br />held on November 4, 2003, and shall be consolidated with School District Elections to <br />be held on said date; and <br />WHEREAS, the County of San Mateo provides certain services pertaining to the <br />conduct of elections as set forth more fully in the Agreement hereinafter referenced; <br />and <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />REDWOOD CITY, AS FOLLOWS: <br />That certain Agreement by and between the City of Redwood City, a charter city <br />and municipal corporation of the State of California, and the County of San Mateo, <br />entitled "Service Agreement for the Provision of Election Services between the City of <br />Redwood City and the San Mateo County Assessor - County - Recorder" for the <br />performance by the County Clerk of the County of San Mateo of certain services <br />pertaining to the General Municipal Election to be held on November 4, 2003, a copy of <br />which Agreement shall be on file in the office of the City Clerk, to which reference is <br />F:Atty/Reso /Reso.1403 <br />062503 <br />
