7. CONSENT CALENDAR (CITY COUNCIL) <br />Items on the Consent Calendar are considered to be routine by the City Council and <br />will be enacted by one motion and one vote. The Consent Calendar category is <br />limited to 15 minutes of comment to be allocated as determined by the Mayor. If you <br />wish to speak to items on the Consent Calendar, please complete a speaker's card <br />and give to Council Volunteer Art Balsamo. <br />MOTION: waive reading of the Consent Calendar except the ordinances by title, <br />adopt the resolutions and the ordinances, and approve other items. <br />7.1 Section - Motions <br />A. Consultant Agreement with Mark Thomas & Company, Inc., for providing <br />supplemental consulting design engineering and construction support for the <br />Ralston Avenue /Marine Parkway /Route 101 Interchange Reconfiguration Project. <br />Staff contact: Peter Vorametsanti, Senior Civil Engineer, 780 -7388 petervta7redwoodcitv.orq <br />Recommendation: <br />Approve and authorize execution of a Consultant Agreement with Mark Thomas & <br />Company, Inc., to provide supplemental consulting engineering design, and <br />construction support of the Ralston Avenue /Marine Parkway /Route 101 <br />Interchange Reconfiguration Project, in an amount not to exceed $108,068.00. <br />B. Approve and authorize execution of a Public Highway Crossing Agreement <br />between the UPRR and the City of Redwood City for the proposed <br />reconstruction and widening of the Blomquist Street at -grade public road <br />crossing. <br />2. Accept the Highway Grant from UPRR granting the City a portion of the UPRR <br />right -of -way for widening the Blomquist Street at -grade public road crossing <br />for an amount of $3,848.00, and direct the City Clerk to accept on behalf of <br />the City, said Highway Grant pursuant to Resolution No. 10944, adopted <br />December 5, 1988, and to record a certified copy of this Resolution and <br />Minute Order in the Office of the San Mateo County Recorder. <br />REGULAR CITY COUNCIL MEETING JULY 14, 2003 <br />AGENDA PAGE 2 <br />
