72 -BZI <br />The City will provide for all Police Officers cleaning, altering, repairing and /or <br />replacement of damaged uniforms as authorized by the Police Chief or his /her <br />designee. <br />Such furnished uniforms shall remain the property of and under the control of <br />the City. <br />Police Officers assigned as detectives will receive a uniform allowance of <br />Twenty-six dollars and ninety-three cents ($26.93) each pay period as part of <br />their regular paychecks for all pay periods during which they are assigned as <br />detectives. <br />7.14 Holidays <br />Regular full -time employees shall be entitled to take all authorized holidays at <br />full pay, not to exceed ten (10) hours, for any one (1) day, provided they are in <br />a pay status ten (10) hours, as the case may be, on both their regularly <br />scheduled workdays immediately preceding and following the holiday; and <br />provided further that original probationary employees shall be eligible for the <br />following holidays one (1) through ten (10) only at the straight -time rate of pay <br />during the first six (6) months of service with the City and for the floating <br />holidays eleven (11) only upon completion of twelve (12) months' service with <br />the City. <br />The following shall be paid holidays to all employees who are covered by this <br />MOU: <br />1. New Year's Day <br />2. Martin Luther King Jr. Day (observed on the third Monday in January) <br />3. Washington's Birthday(Observed on the third Monday in February) <br />4. Memorial Day (Observed on the last Monday in May) <br />5. Independence Day <br />6. Labor Day (Observed on the first Monday in September) <br />7. Veterans Day (Observed November 11) <br />8. Thanksgiving Day <br />9. The Day after Thanksgiving <br />10. Christmas Day <br />11. Three administrative holidays and such other days as may be proclaimed <br />local holidays. <br />If one of the holidays listed above falls during the employee's vacation or on an <br />employee's day off or if an employee is scheduled or required to work on a <br />holiday, the employee shall be allowed a regular workday off at a time <br />determined by agreement between the employee and the Department Head.
