• <br /> MSR:yc:4/5/73 <br /> R E S O L U T I O N NO. 6891 ORIGINAL <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION AWARDING CONTRACT FOR CONSTRUCTION OF Apr 9, 73 <br /> LANDSCAPING IMPROVEMENTS FOR PENINSULA PARKWAY - <br /> SECTION 2 FOR REDWOOD CITY GENERAL IMPROVEMENT <br /> DISTRICT NO. 1-64 ; REJECTING ALL OTHER BIDS <br /> RECEIVED; AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF CONTRACT FOR <br /> SAID WORK; AND DIRECTING RETURN OF SECURITY DEPOSIT <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 6873, adopted February 26, <br /> 1973, the City Clerk called for bids for the construction of <br /> landscaping improvements for Peninsula Parkway - Section 2 for <br /> Redwood City General Improvement District No. 1-64, in the City <br /> of Redwood City; and <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to said call, bids were received and filed <br /> with the City Clerk for the performance of said work; and <br /> WHEREAS, ARTHUR H. SHOOTER, INC. , Menlo Park, California, <br /> is the lowest responsible bidder and it is the intention and <br /> desire of this Council to award said bid to said Arthur H. Shooter, <br /> Inc. , to waive any informality in the bid of the above mentioned <br /> low bidder, and to reject any and all other bids received for <br /> said work; <br /> NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br /> AS FOLLOWS: <br /> 1. The bid of Arthur H. Shooter, Inc. , in the total lump <br /> sum amount of Fifty-four Thousand Seven Hundred Forty-six and <br /> 82/100 Dollars ($54,746.82) , in accordance with bidder' s proposal <br /> dated April 3, 1973, for the construction of landscaping improve- <br /> ments for Peninsula Parkway - Section 2 for Redwood City General <br /> Improvement District No. 1-64, in accordance with the plans and <br /> specifications therefor on file in the office of the City Engineer, <br /> is hereby accepted and said bidder is hereby found and declared <br /> to be the lowest responsible bidder for said work. <br />
