CGM:yc:4/?_/73 <br /> 4 46 <br /> R E S O L U T I O N• <br /> • <br /> NO. 6S97 ORIGINAL <br /> APR 2 '73 <br /> RESOLUTION AMENDING SECTION 1 OF THE RULES AND <br /> REGULATIONS OF THE REDWOOD CITY WATER DEPARTMENT <br /> (DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS) AND RESCINDING <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 2284, RELATING TO APPLICATIONS FOR <br /> WATER SERVICE <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br /> AS FOLLOWS: <br /> 1. Section 1 of . the 'Rules and Regulations for the Redwood <br /> City Water Department" (Department of Public Works) , approved <br /> December 15, 1947, as amended to date, is hereby amended to read <br /> . as follows: <br /> "Section 1. Application for Service. All persons <br /> desiring a water supply from the City of Redwood City <br /> `Water Department shall make application therefor at the <br /> City Hall. The application constitutes a request for <br /> service and does not in itself bind the City to serve, <br /> nor does it bind the consumer to take service for a <br /> . longer period than the minimum requirements of the rate. <br /> "All applications for water service shall be made <br /> in writing, shall be signed by the applicant, and shall <br /> set forth the following information: <br /> . " (1) The location of the premises to be served. <br /> " (2) Date the applicant will be ready for service. <br /> " (3) Whether the premises have been previously <br /> supplied. <br /> " (4) Purpose for which service is to be used. <br /> " (5) Address to which bills are to be mailed. <br /> " (6) Whether the applicant is owner, agent, or <br /> tenant of the property. <br /> " (7) Size of meter desired. <br /> " (8) Such other information as the Director or Public <br /> Works may require." <br /> 2 . Resolution No. 2284, adopted July 15, 1957, entitled <br /> "Resolution Amending Section 1 of the Rules and Regulations of <br /> the Redwood City Water Department to Provide for an Increase in <br /> Service Rate Charges, " is hereby rescinded. <br /> 3. This resolution shall only be effective in the event <br /> that an ordinance entitled "An Ordinance Amending Section 38.10 <br /> of the Code of the City of Redwood City Relating to Water System <br /> Connection Fees (form dated 3/30/73) becomes effective, and shall <br /> become effective and operative upon the effective date of such <br /> ordinance. <br />
