IIIMMEMEW <br /> "Section 32.24 The City Clerk shall, annually, deliver <br /> to the County Auditor a certified statement of tax rates in <br /> accordance with Section 51551 of the Government Code. <br /> "Section 32.25 The transfer of duties and functions <br /> provided for by this article shall be applicable to the <br /> collection of all special assessments upon property when <br /> such assessments are collectible at the same time and in <br /> the same manner as taxes on the secured or unsecured property <br /> tax rolls including, but not limited to, assessments for <br /> weed abatement work, sidewalk repair and construction, abate- <br /> ment of public nuisances and general and special district <br /> taxes and assessments. <br /> "Duties and functions relating to special assessments <br /> not collectible at the same time and in the same manner as <br /> taxes on the secured and unsecured rolls, including assess- <br /> ments levied under the Improvement Act of 1911, shall remain <br /> in the City of Redwood City. <br /> "Section 32.26 The transfer provided for by Section 32.20 <br /> shall not be deemed to abolish the position of City Collector <br /> or City Assessor and the persons appointed to such positions <br /> shall continue to perform all duties of those positions <br /> except for the duties transferred to the County of San Mateo. <br /> In the event of a vacancy in the position of City Assessor, <br /> his duties, except for the duties transferred to the County, <br /> shall be performed by the Auditor." <br /> SECTION 4. Section 9.13 of the Code of the City of Redwood <br /> City is hereby amended to read as follows: <br /> "Section 9.13 At the time fixed for hearing on the <br /> statement of expense referred to in the preceding section <br /> -3- <br />
