WHK:yc:12 /15/65 -7 <br /> . , <br /> O R D I N A N C E NO. 130.4/2 <br /> ORDINANCE ADDING ARTICLE 34, SECTIONS 34.1 THROUGH <br /> 34.6, TO ORDINANCE NO. 1130, THE REDWOOD CITY ZONING <br /> ORDINANCE, AND AMENDING SECTION 22.2 OF SAID ORDINANCE, <br /> RELATING TO PREZONING OF TERRITORY PRIOR TO ITS <br /> ANNEXATION BY THE CITY <br /> THE COUNCIL OF REDWOOD CITY DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: <br /> SECTION 1. Article 34, Sections 34.1 through 34.6, is <br /> hereby added to Ordinance No. 1130, the Redwood City Zoning <br /> Ordinance, adopted May 11, 1964, to read as follows: <br /> "ARTICLE 34 <br /> PREZONING OF AREAS PRIOR TO <br /> ANNEXATION BY CITY <br /> "Section 34.1 Purpose. The purpose of this article <br /> is to provide local implementation to the authority of <br /> cities to prezone areas that may be annexed granted by <br /> Section 65859 of the California Government Code as added <br /> by Senate Bill 716 of the 1965 Regular Session of the <br /> California Legislature. <br /> "Section 34.2 Scope. The City may prezone any <br /> unincorporated territory adjoining the City for the purpose <br /> of determining the zoning that will apply to such territory <br /> in the event of subsequent annexation to the City. <br /> "Section 34.3 Procedure. Prezoning of any area <br /> adjoining the City shall be initiated and adopted in the <br /> same manner as provided in Article 41 for the amendment of <br /> this ordinance, with the additional requirement that notice <br /> of any public hearing held in connection with a proposal <br /> for prezoning shall be mailed to every owner of property <br /> in the area proposed for zoning as shown on the most recent <br /> tax rolls ten days prior to the time set for the hearing. <br /> "Section 34.4 Effective Date of Zoning. Zoning <br /> adopted pursuant to this article for territory to be annexed <br />
