EXHIBIT A <br /> <br /> SCOPE OF WORK <br /> <br />Provide preconstruction, architectural and engineering design and related services for <br />constructing a two level underground parking facility to accommodate approximately <br />590 spaces to be located within the parcel surrounded by Jefferson Avenue, Broadway <br />and Middlefield Road (known as Block 1). <br /> <br />The design shall be in accordance with City of Redwood City Engineering Design <br />Standards Volumes I, II and III dated January 5, 1998; the latest edition of the Uniform <br />Building Code and in general conformance with standard design practice for public <br />parking facilities. <br /> <br />The preconstruction services, architectural and engineering design and related services <br />shall include but not limited to: <br /> <br /> · Site investigation and field review, including but not limited to environmental, <br /> geotechnical and other appropriate engineering studies <br /> · Preparing complete construction documents, including plans specifications and <br /> construction contracts, for review and approval by the City and Agency <br /> · Prepare, submit and secure all permits required for construction of the Public <br /> Parking Facility and related improvements <br /> · Obtain all required subdivision approvals <br /> · Construction cost estimating and budgeting for the Public Parking Facility and <br /> related improvements, including presentation to the City and Agency of written <br /> updates at the completion of Design Development documents and at 50% and 90% <br /> Construction Documents. <br /> · Promptly advise the City and Agency of issues that may affect the Project <br /> Schedule or the budget. <br /> · Development and recommendation of design alternatives, including but not <br /> limited to value engineering proposals, for review and approval by the City and <br /> Agency <br /> · Attend Project meetings as requested by City and/or Agency staff <br /> · Review the Project Schedule with City and Agency and provide updated <br /> information as requested <br /> · Participate in design review meetings, including any required public meetings <br /> <br />F:Atty/Agr/Agr. 119 <br />052003 1 5 <br /> <br /> <br />
