Pastor ..of the. Messiah. Lutheran Church. <br /> ON ROLL CALL the following were noted. present: Councilmen Carl A. Britschgi, Floyd D. <br /> Granger, Paul Jones, William H. Royer, Robert V. Spillers, Hiram S. Stout, Mayor Sidney <br /> D. Herkner and City Clerk R. S. Dodge. Also present were City Manager E. A. Rolison, <br /> City Attorney C. B. Currie, Water Superintendent H. L.. Winter, .City Engineer Glenn M. <br /> Jain, Assistant Water Superintendent Warren Mitchell, Police Chief William Faulstich, <br /> Street Maintenance Superintendent Doyle Chester, Administrative Assistant Orrin Wendling, <br /> City Collector_ Paul. E. Perrin, Building. Inspector 3. H. Kreiss, and Fire Chief J. L. Lodi. <br /> PUBLIC HEARING, PROPOSED REZONING AREA SOUTHERLY LINE OF BREWSTER AVENUE AND BOUNDED BY WARREN, <br /> BRADFORD, MIDDLEFIELD ROAD AND PULGAS LINE FROM R -4 TO C- 1 -H -F. Affidavit of publication <br /> was ordered filed... There were no written protests. Mr. Robert Dell Ergo, attorney <br /> representing Mr. T. B. Foster, owner of Lots 7, 8, 9 and 10, Block. D, Mezesville, <br /> stated that he was not protesting the rezoning but he was asking that the area be <br /> enlarged to include ..both. _ sides of Brewster. Avenue._. This was followed by general dis- <br /> cussion. <br /> Councilman Granger. reported_ that during the time when Councilman_ Hilton was on the <br /> Council. The Council at that time was of the opinion of having the commercial zoning at <br /> the rear of the Brewster lots between Brewster and Alden Street. This was followed by <br /> discussion in regard to_ what .procedure should be followed to include the northerly side <br /> of Brewster. Avenue in the rezoning. . Mr. and Mrs. John Goth spoke in favor of the <br /> rezoning. Mr. John _Robb .stated. . that the original notice of the public hearing heard <br /> before the Planning Commission included the northly portion ob Brewster Avenue. <br /> After further discussion, Councilman Royer moved that the public hearing be closed, <br /> seconded by Councilman Spillers and carried. City Attorney Currie stated that the ord- <br /> inance could not be introduced at this time because of the lack of the proper description. <br />
