REPORT <br /> To the Honorable Mayor and City Council <br /> From Cit Mana er <br /> May 11, 2011 <br /> SUBJECT <br /> City Council Retreat of May 11, 2011 <br /> RECOMMENDATION <br /> This is an information only staff report providing the City Council background <br /> information for the City Council Retreat scheduled for May 11, 2011. <br /> BACKGROUND <br /> In April of this year, the Mayor and I agreed that a special Council retreat should be <br /> scheduled to update the City Council on key strategic initiatives that are part of the City <br /> Council's adopted Strategic Plan. The retreat has been scheduled for May 11, 2011 and <br /> the agenda for the session is attached to this report. <br /> Accompanying the agenda, are background reports on each of the agenda items. Those <br /> reports include: <br /> - Agenda Item: Strategic Initiative Government Efficiencies & Innovations. <br /> o Report: Summary of Recommendations for Boards, Committees & <br /> Commissions. <br /> - Agenda Item: Strategic Initiative: Economic Development. <br /> o Report: Economic Development Report & Action Plan Summary <br /> - Agenda Item: Strategic Initiative: All <br /> o Report: City Council Strategic Initiative Update from February 2011. <br /> These reports will be reviewed with the City Council during the retreat. <br /> ALTERNATIVES <br /> N/A <br /> FISCAL IMPACT <br /> At this time staff is not seeking any new funding associated with these initiatives. <br /> ��� <br /> Yf . <br /> Robert Bell <br /> City Manager <br />
