6.3.A. - Page 1 <br /> To the Honorable Mayor and City Cou nci I <br /> From the City Manager <br /> May 23, 2011 <br /> SUBJECT <br /> CSAC Excess Insurance Authority Request for Official Designated Representative <br /> RECOMMENDATION <br /> Approve by resolution, delegating authority to the City Manager to act on behalf of the <br /> City of Redwood City in matters relating to CSAC Excess insurance Authority. <br /> BAC KG RO U N D <br /> The Council authorized the City to become a member of CSAC Excess Insurance <br /> Authority's joint-powers agreement for excess Workers' Compensation Excess <br /> Insurance in April, 2005. CSAC Excess Insurance Authority has requested that each <br /> member of the Authority designate an individual or position to be authorized to execute <br /> documents on the City of Redwood City's behalf on matters related to CSAC Excess <br /> Insurance Authority. These matters may include renewal applications and completion of <br /> routine documents received from CSAC EIA.
