08/27/01 <br />O R I G I N A L <br />RESOLUTION NO. 11 n��o <br />RESOLUTION ACCEPTING BID FOR EL CAMINO REAL <br />MEDIANS LANDSCAPING PROJECT; AUTHORIZING <br />EXECUTION OF AGREEMENT FOR SAID WORK; AND <br />DIRECTING RETURN OF SECURITY DEPOSITS <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 14252, adopted June 11, 2001, <br />the City Clerk advertised for bids for the El Camino Real Medians Landscaping <br />Project in the City of Redwood City, California; and <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to said advertisement, two bids were received for <br />the performance of said work and filed with the City Clerk; and <br />WHEREAS, John Clay General Engineering Contractor, of Hayward, <br />California is the lowest responsible bidder, and it is the intention and desire of <br />this Council to award said bid to John Clay General Engineering Contractor; <br />- NOW, THEREFORE; <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD <br />CITY, AS FOLLOWS: <br />1. The bid of John Clay General Engineering Contractor in the amount of <br />One Million Three Hundred Forty One Thousand Forty Eight and No /100 dollars <br />($1,341,048.00) computed in accordance with bidder's proposal dated August 2, <br />2001 for the El Camino Real Medians Landscaping Project, is hereby accepted <br />and said bidder is hereby found and declared to be the lowest responsible bidder <br />for said work. <br />F:Atty2001 Shared /Redwood /Council /Reso /Reso -1230 1 <br />
