According to our <br />reader survey, the job opportunity section is the <br />best read section of our magazine! <br />While the "official" direct campaign began May <br />27 and ended June 30, many CITIPAC team <br />members are so passionate in their desire for a <br />successful ballot measure that they are continuing <br />their fundraising efforts. Some elected city offi- <br />cials have raised as much as $5,000 from indi- <br />vidual larger companies; others made personal <br />contributions of $100 to $500 each. <br />As the state legislature continued to pursue <br />solutions to the statewide deficit through the <br />proposed use of local government funds, the <br />regional partnership effort increased on behalf of <br />CITIPAC and initiative team. It takes <br />an estimated $1 -2 million to gather the <br />signatures needed to qualify a measure for <br />the ballot.
