REPORT <br />September 8, 2003 <br />To the Honorable M ayor and City Council <br />From the City Manager <br />Subject <br />Amendment to the Agreement between the City of Redwood City and the City of <br />Burlingame for Information Technology Support Services <br />Recommendation <br />It is recommended that the City Council approve the amendment to the Information <br />Technology support services agreement which describes the services provided by the City <br />of Redwood City to the City of Burlingame. <br />Background <br />The Finance Department's Information Technology Division has provided Information <br />Technology services to the City of Burlingame for over 14 years. <br />The City of Burlingame purchases 2,975 hours annually from the Information Technology <br />Division, approximately two full -time employees (FTEs). One FTE supports Burlingame's <br />desktop, servers, and network operations and the other FTE supports their financial system <br />operations. The amendment solidifies the support services that will be rendered by the City <br />of Redwood City Information Technology Division to the City of Burlingame. <br />The amendment exhibits (A— H) describes the agreed upon staffing, services rendered by <br />function, performance metrics, reporting metrics, procedures for maintaining adequate <br />system backup and an example of the annual contract extension letter. <br />The agreement generates $282,625 of annual revenue. This revenue covers all of the City <br />of Redwood City's costs of providing these services and generates a profit that is used to <br />reduce the cost of operating the City's Information Technology Division. <br />Fiscal Impact <br />The amendment to Burlingame's Information Technology support services agreement has <br />no fiscal impact. <br />David O.
