In order for you to better understand the time commitments and requirements, we want to provide you with the following information: • The Task Force will meet the 1st and 3rd Wednesday of every month beginning October 1 st (see timeline for dates). • The Task Force may decide to establish subcommittees which could meet in addition to these dates. • The Task Force will tentatively meet from 6:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at a location in Redwood City (location to be determined). • Task Force members will be expected to attend 90% of all the scheduled meetings. The Task Force will be professionally facilitated by Dr. Cecil Reeves, who has broad experience and wonderful skills in getting community members to effectively address controversial issues. The purpose of the committee as defined by the City Council is: To find 2,000 acre feet per year of recycled water and /or additional conservation of water (beyond that which has been identified *) by 2010, in financially feasible manner by identifying alternative sites to schools and playgrounds. To find alternative phasing which is financially feasible to allow the Council to avoid using recycle water at schools and playgrounds. 3. The Task Force members agree to help educate inform and advocate for the Task Force's recommendation to the community if it is accepted by Council. The Council also dealt with the issue of safety and said very clearly "re- examining the issue of safety is not within the purpose of the Task Force as the Council has made that determination."
