By motion, cause the formation of a broad -based community task force for <br />the purpose of exploring other, financially feasible approaches that may <br />be able to deliver recycled water to different types of sites in different <br />phases than presently envisioned. Motion to include revisions to <br />memorandum dated August 7, 2003 (see revised memorandum attached <br />to minute order 03 -195). The motion passed by a majority roll call vote <br />with Council Member Jordan voting no and Council Member Ruskin <br />absent. <br />MINUTE ORDER 03 -195 <br />7. PUBLIC HEARING <br />A. Adoption of 2003/04 Budget Ordinance (First Reading) <br />Financial Services Director Ponty explained that the only adjustment is to the <br />water and sewer funds and explained that detail. He stated more definitive <br />information from the State would be available at the end of the month advising <br />Council to not make any revisions to the proposed budget at this time. <br />Mayor Claire opened the public hearing. No public input was given. <br />M/S Ira /Howard to close the public hearing.The motion passed by a unanimous <br />voice vote by those present. <br />M/S Ira /Hartnett to introduce an ordinance adopting the 2003/04 budget: <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY ADOPTING THE FINAL <br />BUDGET OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY FOR THE FISCAL YEAR JULY 1, <br />2003 — JUNE 30, 2004; PROVIDING FOR THE APPROPRIATION AND <br />EXPENDITURE OF ALL SUMS SET FORTH IN SAID BUDGET; PROVIDING <br />FOR EMERGENCY EXPENDITURES, TRANSFERS, ADDITIONAL <br />APPROPRIATIONS, CANCELLATIONS AND REAPPROPRIATIONS OF <br />EXISTING APPROPRIATIONS; ADOPTING THE BUDGET FOR GENERAL <br />IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT NO. 1 -64 FOR THE FISCAL YEAR JULY 1, 2003 — <br />JUNE 30, 2004; MAKING PROVISION FOR INTERIM EXPENDITURES AS OF <br />JULY 1, 2003; AND REPEALING ORDINANCE NO. 2215, AND ALL <br />ORDINANCES AND RESOLUTION IN CONFLICT HEREWITH.
