monthly dollar caps ideutified in Sections 10.1.4, and 10.1.5. Such costs <br />include, but are not limited to, premiums, surcharges, and/or <br />administrative fees. <br /> <br />10.1.9 <br /> <br />In the event there are any costs not charged to the City due to delays by <br />PERS and/or other administrative agencies in calculating or reporting <br />these costs, said costs shall be carried over and charged as administrative <br />costs to the following plan year and deducted from the aforementioned <br />monthly dollar caps accordingly. <br /> <br />10.1.10 <br /> <br />An employee who is receiving a disability retirement due to a work <br />related illness or injury, shall receive paid medical benefits provided that <br />the following conditions are met: <br /> <br />A. The employee is not eligible for benefits under 10.1.7; and, <br /> <br />The employee is not eligible for similar benefits through a <br />spouse's health plan. <br /> <br />Whenever the above eligibility criteria are met, the City will provide <br />medical benefits at the same benefit tier (single, two-party, family) <br />which the employee would have been receiving if he/she had continued <br />as an active employee. <br /> <br />10.1.11 <br /> <br />For employees who leave the City in good standing, for reasons other <br />than retirement, who are not eligible for benefits as provided in Section <br />10.1.7 or 10.1.10, and who have twenty (20) years of service with the <br />City of Redwood City, the maximum City contribution toward health <br />plan coverage shall be equal to the percent of premium paid for a current <br />emptoyee, for the same plan, for the period September 1, 1997 through <br />August 31, 1999, provided that the following conditions are met: <br /> <br />The employee is not eligible for similar medical benefits through <br />a spouse's health plan. <br /> <br />The employee is not eligible for similar medical benefits through <br />other employment. <br /> <br />Whenever the above eligibility criteria are met, the City will provide paid <br />medical benefits for the employee only. <br /> <br />10.2 Savings Clause <br /> <br />If, pursuant to any federal or state law which may become effective subsequent to <br />the effective date of this MOU, the City is required to pay contributions or taxes <br />for hospital-medical-surgical, dental care, prescription drug or other health <br /> <br />23 <br /> <br /> <br />
