EXHIBIT A <br /> <br /> CITY OF REDWOOD CITY <br /> INTERNATIONAL INSTITUTE OF SAN FRANCISCO <br /> FISCAL YEAR 2003-2004 <br /> <br /> CONTRACT OBJECTIVES <br /> <br /> OVERALL OBJECTIVE <br /> To provide information, consultations, and assistance to 6000 <br /> families, approximately one-third or 2000 of whom live in Redwood <br /> City. <br /> <br /> SPECIFIC OBJECTIVES: <br /> To conduct at least fifteen workshops on issues of importance to <br /> the Redwood City community, such as citizenship, immigration <br /> laws and procedures, access to education, immigrant rights, <br /> leadership development, civic participation, and voter education. <br /> An estimated 800-1,000 people are expected to attend these <br /> workshops (300-500 from Redwood City}. <br /> <br /> To provide comprehensive consultation to 3,900 families; <br /> approximately one-third (1300) from Redwood City. <br /> <br /> To provide legal services to 440 families leading to family <br /> reunification; approximately one-third (146} from Redwood City. <br /> <br /> To provide legal services to 580 families leading to work <br /> authorization, approximately one-third (193} from Redwood City. <br /> <br /> To provide legal services to 200 individuals leading to U.S. <br /> Citizenship; approximately one-third (67) from Redwood City. <br /> <br />(Please note: These objectives represent the entire San Mateo County Program, <br />with funding from Redwood City HSFA and other levera§ed funds.
