`r . <br /> EXHIBIT "A" <br /> SCOPE OF SERVICES <br /> PROJECT SUMMARY <br /> Priority Area: Meaningful Watershed Educational Experiences for Students <br /> Project title: Redwood Environmental Academy and Leadership (REAL) Program <br /> Project duration: 2010- 2011 with the intent to apply for 2011 -12 & 2012 -13 <br /> • The REAL program will provide service learning environmental education to 20 high school <br /> students at Redwood Continuation High School throughout the academic year. <br /> • The REAL program will train these 20 high school students to provide leadership and <br /> environmental education to a larger community of up to 200 Redwood High School Students <br /> and 5 Redwood High School teachers. <br /> • Students will participate in at least five 2 -hour long workshops, field work experiences taught <br /> by Stanford faculty and staff and Redwood high school teachers to improve students' <br /> understanding of ecology; their place in the natural world, water cycles, and local <br /> watersheds; and the connectivity between these things and global environmental health. <br /> • 20 REAL students will receive 1 hour per week of direct leadership training and youth <br /> advocacy skills to enhance their abilities to train & teach their peers as well as broaden the <br /> participation of under - represented minorities as environmental advocates and stewards. <br /> • 20 REAL students will participate in 3 -6 field trips to other locations in the watersheds listed <br /> above. <br /> PAYMENT AND REPORTING <br /> Redwood High School will provide a detailed invoice, with evidence of progress in achieving defined <br /> deliverables when requesting payment. <br /> The contract will be paid in one installment due by August 30, 2011. <br /> Agreement under $10K 4 <br /> City Attorney Approved Version 031210 <br />
