• Represent the Parties at the San Mateo County Training Officers <br /> Association and the NorCal Training Officers Association <br /> • Assist Truck/Rescue Captains with the planning and directing of <br /> manipulative drills. Establish consistent performance standards for <br /> individual Fire Fighters and Captains as well as crew performance <br /> standards, which are to be demonstrated annually. <br /> B. Fire JPA's EMS Officer will perform the following services for City: <br /> • Overall management and supervision of all EMS activities; manage <br /> and supervise paramedics and EMT -1 <br /> • Fulfill reporting requirements for training and certificates <br /> • Manage medical equipment and restocking <br /> • Quality Assurance, including review of patient care reports and <br /> monitoring of shift paramedics <br /> • EMS training, including treatment and protocol updates <br /> • Participate in relevant active San Mateo County Committees <br /> 2. Term. Unless earlier terminated in writing by any one of the Parties <br /> pursuant to Section 17 below, the term of this Agreement will commence upon the date <br /> first written above and shall continue in full force and effect until terminated in writing by <br /> either party pursuant to Section 17, Termination. <br /> 3. Compensation. The Parties agree to an even exchange of services, with <br /> no compensation due to either party. Services rendered by City's Joint Training Officer <br /> to Fire JPA shall be equivalent to the services rendered by Fire JPA's EMS Officer to <br /> City. <br /> A. Overtime Reimbursement: In the event either party is required to pay <br /> overtime as a direct result of the services provided, each respective party <br /> shall pay the sum due for any overtime compensation by invoicing the <br /> costs of that coverage. <br /> 4. Payment. Where payment is warranted as described in Paragraph 3, <br /> Compensation, each respective party shall submit invoices as necessary to reflect the <br /> hours worked by the appropriate Officer pursuant to this Agreement. Payments shall be <br /> made within (30) days of receipt of invoice. <br /> 5. Employment. City's Training Officer and Fire JPA's EMS Officer shall not <br /> be considered an employee of the other agency for any purpose. <br /> A. City's Fire Chief will provide overall supervision of the Training Officer. Fire <br /> JPA's Fire Chief will provide overall supervision of the EMS Officer. In the <br /> event of a conflict between direction given by City Fire Chief and Fire JPA <br /> Chief, the City Chief and the Fire JPA Chief will meet and use their best <br /> efforts to resolve the conflict. <br /> ATTY /AGR/2011. 042 WOODSIDE TRAINING and EMS Officer <br /> 051311 2 <br />
