6.4.A. - Page 1 <br /> ORDINANCE NO. <br /> ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 3 OF THE REDWOOD CITY <br /> MUNICIPAL CODE RELATING TO ADVERTISING AND SIGNS <br /> The City Council of Redwood City makes the following findings: <br /> WHEREAS, a purpose in amending the Advertising and Sign Ordinance is to <br /> clarify that the regulations articulated in Section 3.152 with respect to public property are <br /> not obviated due to the definition of"signs" in the ordinance; and <br /> WHEREAS, a purpose of these amendments is to protect and preserve the first <br /> amendment rights of others in accessing materials contained in and distributed through <br /> newspaper racks. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY DOES <br /> ORDAI N AS FOLLOWS: <br /> Section 1. The designated sections and subsections of the Redwood City <br /> Municipal Code shown below are hereby amended by adding the text shown in bold <br /> italics (example) and deleting the text shown in strikeout (�c-a-��e). Text in brackets <br /> [example] is explanatory and is not part of the text. <br /> Section 2.
