Motion carried 7-0 by electronic vote. <br /> Mayor Ira expressed his thanks to everyone for coming out because they take this very <br /> seriously. <br /> Mayor Ira took item 8B was taken out of sequence directly following approval of the <br /> consent calendar. <br /> B. 1250, 1252 and 1254 Edgewood Road — Initial Study/Mitigated Negative <br /> Declaration and Prezoning. <br /> Mr. Sailesh Mehra, Associate Planner, reviewed the two items before Council for their <br /> consideration on annexation and prezoning of 1250, 1252, and 1254 Edgewood Road <br /> (presentation on file). He said staff had conducted extensive outreach. He said the <br /> project complies with City requirements and the applicant is available and present for <br /> questions. <br /> There were no Council questions at this time. <br /> The applicant/developer, J.R. Rodine, said he is representing the owners of the property <br /> at 1250 Edgewood Road and a few others. He noted that the Planning Commission <br /> had reviewed this item and voted unanimously to approve the recommendation. He <br /> spoke in support of the recommendations from the Planning Commission. He <br /> highlighted the benefits to the public in terms adding properties to the City's water and <br /> sewer system, additions to sales tax and property tax revenue, which in turn, benefits <br /> the roads and schools. <br /> Council Discussion: <br /> One Council Member asked about the 40 percent lot coverage allowed in the City <br /> versus the 30 percent lot coverage allowed in the County in relation to this property. Mr. <br /> Mehra explained that the maximum zoning lot allowance for this City district is 40 <br /> percent, as shown on the staff report, these show maximum building envelopes, but <br /> they are not the maximum lot coverages for these respective lots. This Council Member <br /> also confirmed with Mr. Mehra that as they review the design, they would consider <br /> adaptations to specific lots for water quality, protection of the stability of the bank and <br /> the creek, and mitigation through fencing. Staff confirmed these assumptions. <br /> The Mayor opened the public hearing. There was no public comment. <br /> M/S Seybert/Gee to close the public hearing. Motion carried unanimously by voice <br /> vote. <br /> Recommendation: <br /> 1.
