08/27/01 <br />O R I G I N A L <br />RESOLUTION NO. 1 A 1 s q <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF <br />AGREEMENT WITH SERVICE LEAGUE OF SMCO — EMERGENCY <br />ASSISTANCE <br />WHEREAS, Service League of San Mateo County is a private, non - profit <br />organization that provides programs and resources which promote positive change in <br />individuals and their families involved in the Criminal Justice System, which services are <br />in furtherance of the public health, welfare and benefit; and <br />WHEREAS, Service League of San Mateo County has requested financial <br />assistance for use by it in conducting its activities during the fiscal year commencing <br />July 1, 2001 and ending June 30, 2002; and <br />WHEREAS, the City of Redwood City has reviewed said request and desires to <br />enter into an agreement with Service League of San Mateo County to provide financial <br />assistance in furtherance of its public purposes; <br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, AS <br />FOLLOWS: <br />That certain agreement by and between the City of Redwood City and Service <br />League of San Mateo County, a copy of which agreement is on file in the office of the <br />City Clerk, to which copy reference is hereby made for the full particulars thereof, is <br />hereby approved and the City Manager and City Clerk are hereby authorized and <br />directed to execute the same on behalf of the City of Redwood City. <br />Reso -0122 <br />F: /S h a red /Redwood /Council <br />FXS -dr <br />08/02/01 <br />
