6.2.A. - Page 2 <br /> ALTERNATIVES <br /> Should Council find this proposed property tax exchange unacceptable they may direct <br /> staff to attempt to negotiate a more favorable outcome with the County. If the City and <br /> County are unable to agree upon a higher property tax allocation for the City the <br /> proposed annexation will not proceed. <br /> FISCAL IMPACT <br /> Upon annexation, the City should receive approximately $3,000 per year in property <br /> taxes. This estimate is based upon current total assessed valuations of the properties <br /> being annexed of $2 million.
