6.2.B. - Page3 <br /> ATTACHMENT 1 <br /> RESOLUTION NO. <br /> RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br /> REDWOOD CITY AMENDING THE CITY'S CLASSIFICATION PLAN <br /> TO RE-ESTABLISH THE POSITION OF THE DEPUTY FIRE CHIEF <br /> WHEREAS, the Fire Department has requested that the job classification of <br /> Deputy Fire Chief be reinstated (Chief Officers Association); and <br /> WHEREAS, based upon the Agreement to Provide Fire and Emergency Services <br /> to the City of San Carlos, it was determined that it would be appropriate to restructure <br /> the department, including the reinstatement of the Deputy Fire Chief classification; and <br /> WHEREAS, the classification of Deputy Fire Chief was prepared by Human <br /> Resources and the Fire Department to ensure it meets the foreseeable needs of the <br /> organization; and <br /> WHEREAS, it was determined that the Deputy Fire Chief classification should be <br /> a Chief Officer position and established with a pay range of $12,501 to $14,621 per <br /> month; <br /> NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br /> OF REDWOOD CITY AS FOLLOWS: <br /> 1. The recitals set forth above are true and correct and are hereby <br /> incorporated by this reference as if fully set forth in their entirety. <br /> 2.
