08/27/01 <br />O R I G I N A L <br />RESOLUTION NO. 14357 <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF <br />AGREEMENT WITH MILLS PENINSULA SENIOR FOCUS (RSVP) <br />WHEREAS, Mills Peninsula Senior Focus (RSVP) is a private, non - profit <br />organization that provides volunteer opportunities for people age 55 and older with a <br />myriad of experience and interests from all economic, educational, and social <br />backgrounds, which services are in furtherance of the public health, welfare and <br />benefit; and <br />WHEREAS, Mills Peninsula Senior Focus (RSVP) has requested financial <br />assistance for use by it in conducting its activities during the fiscal year commencing <br />July 1, 2001 and ending June 30, 2002; and <br />WHEREAS, the City of Redwood City has reviewed said request and desires <br />to enter into an agreement with Mills Peninsula Senior Focus (RSVP) to provide <br />financial assistance in furtherance of its public purposes; <br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br />That certain agreement by and between the City of Redwood City and Mills <br />Peninsula Senior Focus (RSVP), a copy of which agreement is on file in the office of <br />the City Clerk, to which copy reference is hereby made for the full particulars thereof, <br />is hereby approved and the City Manager and City Clerk are hereby authorized and <br />directed to execute the same on behalf of the City of Redwood City. <br />Reso -0120 <br />F:/Shared/Redwood/Council <br />FXS -dr <br />08/02/01 <br />
