RESOLUTION NO. - � A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY CAUNGIL OF TFIE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY MAKING, PURSUANT TO ARTICLE 27 OF THE CIYY ZONING ORDINANCE, THE REQU{RED FINDINGS AND APPROVING AN ' EXTENSION OF TIME FOR TERMINATION OF a4 NONCONFORMING USE LOCATED AT 739 EL CAMINO REAL, REDWQOD CITY WHEREAS, Section 27.4 of the Redwood City Zoning Ordinance, as amended, (the "Ordinance") provides that any use of real property existing on July 12,2000 that did not conform to the minimum proximity provisions of Article 27, but was operated and maintained in compliance with all previous regulations; shall be regarded as a nonconforming use that may be continued for five (5) years after July 12, 2000; and WHEREAS, Section 27.4 became eff�ctive on July 12, 2000; and WHEREAS, as of July 12, 2000, the busin�ss at 739 EI Camino Real (now known as Secrets Adult Boutique) (the "Business" was maintained in compliance with all previous regulations nd was a to cont nue fona period of five (5) years after July 12, 2000; and � WHEREAS, the amortization period for the Business ends on July 12, 2005; and WHEREAS, Section 27.5 of the Ordir�ance rec�uires the extension of time for the termination of certain nonconformi�ig uses if specific findings can be made by the City . Council; and WHEREAS, on April 1 and Aprii 22, 2005, a representative of the Business submitted an application for an extension of time for terrrsination of the nonconforming use at 739 EI Camino Real (the "Property"); and � WHEREAS, a representative of the �usiness has r�iet with staff and discussed the Business, investments made into the Busines� and relocation efforts; and WHEREAS, on May 9, 200a, this City Council held a hearing related to fhe extension of time requested and considered oral and written testimony related to the ° request. NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL O� T�� CITY OF REDWOOD CITY AS FOLLOWS: 1.
