<br />6.A-I~ <br /> <br />A PENSION OBLIGATION BOND FORUMS <br /> <br />The League of California Cities and the Califor- <br />nia State Association of Counties completed the <br />first pooled issuance of Pension Obligation Bonds <br />(POB) in 2004 and are forming a second PCB <br />Financing Program for 2005 offered through the <br />California Statewide Communities Development <br />Authority (California Communities). The PCB <br />program provides local agencies a cost effective <br />vehicle for realizing budget savings. Agencies <br />with fewer than 100 employees (participating in <br />the CalPERS Risk Sharing Pools) will experi- <br />ence additional benef"1ts in issuing Pension <br />Bonds. <br /> <br />To learn more about the PCB financing pro- <br />gram, the League and CSAC have scheduled five <br />forums as follows: <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Wednesday, January 19, San Francisco <br />Thursday, January 20, Pasadena <br />Friday, January 21 ,Sacramento <br />Wednesday, January 26, San Diego <br />Friday, January 28, Fresno <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Each meeting will begin at 10:00 a.m. and will <br />conclude before noon.
