This North -South
Ted Huang
bicycle route follows a great neighborhood street which extends all the way from
Ryan Kauffman
Whipple Avenue to Woodside Road, and connects to low- traffic bike routes in both
Greg McPhceters
Atherton to the South and San Carlos to the North. Neighborhood routes like Hudson
Jack Miller
Street not only appeal to bicycle commuters looking for the most efficient routes, but also
to less experienced riders of all ages. However, improvements such as sharrows, signage,
Jim Parker
and bicycle signal detectors are needed in order to make this route safer and more
Alyssa Plicka
comfortable for bicyclists. Curb ramps and countdown signals are needed to enhance
Jall Selzer
pedestrian safety, particularly near the schools in this area.
Lilla Scott
Redwood City has done an excellent job in recent years of improving several regional
North -South bike routes, and SVBC is pleased that the City recognizes that multiple
North -South bikeways are needed in a city of its size. Furthermore, Redwood City staff
ADVISORY BOARD
members have worked closely with members of SVBC's Redwood City
Andrew Bail
Bicycle /Pedestrian Work Group to develop projects that address the needs of local
President and CEO
j4ebcor 6uitders
bicyclists and effectively incorporate their input. This project is the result of that effort
and is an important step to making Hudson a more complete and livable street.
Dave Dutton
President and CEO
The Silicon Valley Bicycle Coalition is a member - supported organization that works to
Mattson Technology, Inc
improve safety conditions and empower bicyclists in San Mateo and Santa Clara
Counties.
Carl Guardino
President and CEO
Sincerely, '
Silicon Virdby Leadership Group
Tom Warner, CEO
SunPoiver Corp.
_
Corinne Winter
Executive Director
EXECUTNE DIRECTOR
Corinne Winter
cc: Susan Wheeler, Management Analyst, City of Redwood City,
SWheeler@redwoodcity.org
Caryl Gay, Chair of SVBC's Redwood City Bike /Ped Work Group,
The suet is a al
caryl@bikesiliconvalley.org
non - profit organ¢
http : / / bikesiliconvalley.org
