Adoption of Redevelopment Agency Budget for Fiscal Year 2006/07 - <br /> Redevelopment Agency <br /> Recommendation: <br /> MIS Foust/Ira to approve the resolution adopting the Redwood City <br /> Redevelopment Agency budget for Fiscal Year 2006/07. <br /> RESOLUTION RD 06-GS OF THE REDWOOD CITY REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY <br /> BOARD OF DIRECTORS ADOPTING THE REDWOOD CITY REDEVELOPMENT <br /> AGENCY BUDGET FOR FISCAL YEAR 2006/07 <br /> The motion passed by a unanimous roll call vote. <br />9. MATTERS OF COUNCIL INTEREST - <br /> A. Legislation (information only) - This sub-section involves possible discussion of <br /> City Position on Proposed Legislation described in the League of California Cities <br /> Priority Focus Bulletin No. 25-2006. Council may direct staff to act on positions <br /> taken by Council. (Copies of League of California Cities Priority Focus available in <br /> City Clerk's Department.) <br /> B. Council Member Hartnett - announced that the Redwood City National League <br /> Senior Baseball team, ages 15 and 16, just won the District 52 Championship. He <br /> stated that this is quite an accomplishment and the team will now progress to the <br /> regional level. <br /> C. Mayor Pierce - announced that on Tuesday evening, July 11 at 7:00 p.m., the <br /> Planning Commission will hold an introductory study session with the Architectural <br /> Review Board to review the Peninsula Park project proposal process. The <br /> Planning Commission meeting begins at 6:30 with the study session beginning at <br /> 7:00 p.m. The study session will be televised on cable channel 26. She further <br /> explained that over the next several months, the Planning Commission will be <br /> televising their meetings as it discusses the General Plan update. <br /> Mayor Pierce also encouraged the community to take a walk along Broadway and <br /> note that fewer barriers exist, fences are down and the downtown businesses and <br /> cinema will soon be opening. She announced a fundraising event at Chipotle at <br /> Broadway and Middlefield on Thursday, July 13 from 5-9 p.m. to benefit the public <br /> schools and Education Foundation. <br />10.
