5.1F
~~~~~ Page 30
Producillg Hi,h Profil. fifll." fY.llt. Sillc. '9'4
June 14, 2006
Saint Peter's Episcopal Church
178 Ointon St.
Redwood City, CA 94062
Re: Tour de Peninsula · Sunday, August 6,2006
To Whom It May Concern,
I am writing to inform you of this year's date for Tour de Peninsula to be held on
Sunday, August 6, 2006. This year, the ride will a~ain raise funds for "San Mateo
County Parks & Recreation Foundation" - establis ed in 1998 to financially support the
recreational, environmental and educational programs and projects of the San Mateo
County Parks and Recreation Division.
Saint Peter's is only a few blocks from the start/ finish area (at SeJiuoia High School).
This means that the riders will be in tight groups (we meter out e start so it's not too
jammed), and pass relatively quickly beginning at 8:30 AM. They will pass by a second
time a few hours later, just before they finish. This will be at the end of a 33-mile ride
(or 17, Or 22 miles, if they take one of the short cuts). By then, the riders will have
spread out, and will not cause significant traffic delays. It would be advisable to be
aware that lots of cyclists are on the road, however between about 10:15 AM & Noon.
There will be NO PARKING on both sides of Brewster from Broadway to Alameda de
las Pulgas that morning. We will plan to again place cones with CHURCH PARKING
ONLY signs along the two blocks on Ointon between Brewster and Whipple early
Sunday morning. This worked really well last year. I hope that the reserved parking
and this advance notice will help in planning for parking and arrival to church Sunday
August 6, 2006.
If you have any questions or comments, please don't hesitate to call me at 415-759-2690.
Sincerely,
Nancy Nobriga
Operations Director
1417 Irving Street. San Francisco, CA 94122 . (415) 759-2690 . Fax: (415) 759-2699
