This year, the ride will again raise funds for "San Mateo <br /> County Parks & Recreation Foundation" - established in 1998 to financially support the <br /> recreational, environmental and educational programs and projects of the San Mateo <br /> County Parks and Recreation Division. <br /> Since your worship services are primarily on Saturday, I hope this ride will not be of <br /> much consequence to you (unless you would like to get a church group together to <br /> participate!) <br /> However, there will be a lot of bicycles on the road Sunday morning and I want you to <br /> be aware of what's happening. Your church is only a few blocks from the start/ finish <br /> area (at Sequoia High School). This means that the riders will be in tight groups (we <br /> meter out the start so it's not too jammed), and pass relatively quickly beginning at 8:30 <br /> AM. They will pass by a second time a few hours later, just before they finish. This will <br /> be at the end of a 33-mile ride (or 17, Or 22 miles, if they take one of the short cuts). By <br /> then, the riders will have spread out, and will not cause any traffic delays. It would be <br /> advisable to be aware that lots of cyclists are on the road, however between about 10:15 <br /> AM & Noon. <br /> There will be NO PARKING on both sides of Brewster from Broadway to Alameda de <br /> las Pulgas that morning.
