� /� <br /> ■ On-Broadway Retail-Cinema Project and Downtown Parking Garage: The <br /> agency has assembled land and is funding the construction of a 590-space <br /> underground public parking facility to support the development of a 20- <br /> screen cinema complex with 85,000 square feet of retail space. <br /> Construction is expected to be complete in 2006; <br /> ■ Theater Way Streetscape Improvements: The agency is funding streetscape <br /> improvements to Theatre Way adjoining the On Broadway Re#ail-Cinema <br /> Project. <br /> ■ Courthouse Square: The Agency has sponsored and funded extensive <br /> planning and design efforts for the restoration of the 1910 Courthouse <br /> building farade and construction of a new public plaza on the site of the <br /> Annex. <br /> ■ Main Street Improvements: The Agency rebuilt the street, creating brick <br /> paved sidewalks and planters and improving the sewer and storm drain <br /> systems. <br /> The Agency's goals for the 2005-2009 Implementation Plan period include: <br /> continue to upgrade public improvements and linkages with the downtown; <br /> rehabilitate aging commercial and residential structures; assemble parcels into <br /> developable sites; promote redevelopment in accordance with the Draft downtown <br /> Area Plan and the soon to be completed Downtown Precise Plan; and support <br /> transit-oriented development opportunities. It is estimated that the Agency will <br /> accrue approximately $34.6 million of tax increment during this period that will be <br /> available to fund future projects and programs. Programs contemplated for the next <br /> five-year period include: <br /> ■ Completion of the parking garage near the On-Broadway Retail-Cinema <br /> project; <br /> ■ Completion of the Courthouse Fa�ade Renovation and the Public Plaza; <br /> ■ Completion of the streetscape improvements near the On-Broadway Retail <br /> project; <br /> Redev/5taff Reports/12-2004/Implementation Plan 3 <br /> SM/cje <br />
