-I <br /> Attachment 2 <br /> RESOLUTION NO. <br /> A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD <br /> CITY AMENDING THE STRATEGIC GENERAL PLAN OF THE CITY OF <br /> REDWOOD CITY TO AMEND THE GENERAL PLAN DESIGNATION OF <br /> PROPERTY LOCATED AT 1540 EL CAMINO REAL, AS FURTHER <br /> DESCRIBED IN THIS RESOLUTION, FROM COMMERCIAUOFFICE TO <br /> MIXED USE (RESIDENTIAL AND COMMERCIAL) DISTRICT <br /> WHEREAS, after a duly noticed public hearing on November 16, 2004, the <br /> Planning Commission of the City of Redwood City (the "Commission") recommended to <br /> the City Council, an amendment of the Strategic General Plan of the City of Redwood <br /> City (the "General Plan") to amend the General Plan designation of property located at <br /> 1540 EI Camino Real, as further described in this resolution, from commercial/office - <br /> (multi-story structures for office and retail uses (central business district)) to mixed use <br /> (commercial and residential) (the "Amendment"); and <br /> WHEREAS, in 1992, the City's General Plan and Zoning Maps were amended to <br /> allow mixed-use development on a significant percentage of EI Camino Real properties; <br /> and <br /> WHEREAS, this Council, having reviewed the recommendation of the <br /> Commission and having considered the evidence received at the public hearing duly <br /> noticed and held for the Amendment, finds that the Amendment is in the public interest <br /> and consistent with the purposes of the Redwood City Zoning Ordinance and desires to <br /> adopt the Amendment. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br /> REDWOOD CITY AS FOLLOWS: <br /> Atty/Reso/Reso.1505 <br /> 120204 1 <br />
