"� <br /> The tazget group to be assisted under each goal is households with incomes at or below 80% of inedian. <br /> STRATEGY IMPLEMENTATION NEEDS, GOALS, & PRIORITIES: Redwood City has adopted <br /> priorities to implement this strategy as follows in the rank order that funds and assistance will be <br /> � targeted: <br /> 1. Increase the availability of affordable housing in decent, safe and sanitary condition. <br /> 2. Improve safety and livability of neighborhoods by focusing resources for public facilities & <br /> supportive services. <br /> 3. Promote economic growth through employment services, job training, business development <br /> and expansion which result in jobs for low income persons. <br /> The City of Redwood City is proposing to use CDBG and HOME funds during FY 2004-OS to meet <br /> basic Consolidated Plan Priorities as listed on the following pages of this Plan. The primary etnphasis <br /> during FY 2004-OS is to focus on basic human needs by targeting funding to supportive services, <br /> emergency assistance and intervention progams. The goal of these programs is to reduce poverty and <br /> prevent homelessness, and expand affordable housing opportunities for low income households. <br /> Total New Entitlement Funds (CDBG & HOME) $1,347,282.00 I <br /> Estimated Progam Income � 300,000.00 <br /> Total Federal Funds $1,647,282.00 <br /> Estimated Redevelopment Housing Funds $5,080,347.00 <br /> Redwood City General Funds $ 25,000.00 <br /> Human Services Financial Assistance (HSFA) $ 198.200.00 <br /> Total State & Local Funds $5.303.547.00 <br /> „__ TOTAL ACTION PLAN FINANCING $6,950,829.00 <br /> � Mission Statement was approved by the Housing & Human Concems Committee on June 24, 2003. <br />
