She stated that there are adult programs and children's <br /> programs. <br /> 5. ORAL COMMUNICATIONS AND CONSENT CALENDAR - CITY COUNCIL AND <br /> REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY <br /> Hubert J. Morel-Seytoux sought endorsement of Senate Bill 921, the Health Care for <br /> all Californians Act, authored by Senator Sheila Kuehl. He gave background <br /> information on the current status of health care, stating that under S8 921, all <br /> Californians would have health insurance coverage with a comprehensive package of <br /> benefits, including prescription drugs, emphasis on preventive care, with one standard <br /> of quality care instead of the current two tier system. He further detailed his specific <br /> points. He requested that Council place the request for endorsement of SB 921 on a <br /> future agenda of the City Council. <br /> Council Member Howard requested and Mayor Ira asked that staff research through <br /> the League of California Cities SB 921. <br /> M/S Ruskin/Hartnett to waive reading of the Consent Calendar except the ordinances <br /> by title, adopt the resolutions and the ordinances, and approve other items. <br /> 5.1 Section - Motions <br /> A.
