The addition of a new project to the list of Candidate Projects in the <br /> County-wide Supplemental Roadway project or Pedestrian and <br /> Bicycle Program Category. <br /> I. The Transportation Authority is authorized to bond for the purposes of <br /> advancing the commencement of or expediting the delivery of transportation <br /> programs or projects. The Transportation Authority may issue limited tax <br /> bonds, from time to time, to finance any program or project in this <br /> Transportation Expenditure Plan as allowed by applicable law and as <br /> approved by the Transportation Authority, and the maximum bonded <br /> indebtedness shall not exceed the total amount of proceeds of this retail, <br /> transactions and use tax, estimated to be $1.5 Billion in 2004 dollars. Such <br /> bonds will be payable solely from the proceeds of the retail transactions and <br /> use tax and may be issued prior to the collection of such taxes beginning <br /> January 1, 2009. <br /> 21 <br />
