"' ,. - <br /> <br /> (p.l ø ~5 <br /> RESOLUTION NO. - <br /> ,~ <br /> RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br /> REQUESTING AND AU'rHORIZING THE COUNTY CONTROLLER TO <br /> LEVY THE BENEFIT ASSESSMENTS FOR FY 2004-2005 FOR THE <br /> SEAPORT BOULEVARD LANDSCAPE MAINTENANCE DISTRICT AND <br /> AUTHORIZING THE COUNTY TAX COLLECTOR TO COLLECT SUCH <br /> ASSESSMENTS. <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD <br /> CITY, CALIFORNIA AS FOLLOWS: <br /> WHEREAS, on July 10, 2000, voters of the Seaport Boulevard Landscape <br /> Maintenance District (the "District") approved, by a vote of 100% yes to 0% no, the levy <br /> of a special tax, the amounts of such tax to be annually adjusted under the 5-year <br /> budget as specified in the City Manager's and City Engineer's Reports, heretofore <br /> --- approved by Resolution No. 13905 adopted May 22,2000 on each non-exempt parcel <br /> of land in the district; and <br /> WHEREAS, the maximum benefit assessment for fiscal year 2004-2005 is <br /> $164,491.00; and <br /> WHEREAS, the District has the need of the services of the offices of the San <br /> Mateo County Controller and Tax Collector in levying and collecting the special tax; and <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY DETERMINED AND ORDERED AS <br /> FOLLOWS: <br /> 1. The City Council of the City of Redwood City hereby respectfully requests <br /> and authorizes the San Mateo County Tax Controller to include individual tax <br /> assessments in the County tax bills for the fiscal year 2004-2005 in accordance with <br /> '-' the documents supplied by the District and authorizes the San Mateo County Tax <br /> ATTY/RESO/RESO.1464 1 <br /> 042704 <br />
