AUTHORIZING THE COUNTY CONTROLLER TO <br /> LEVY THE BENEfiT ASSESSMENTS FOR FY 2004-2005 FOR THI;:.. <br /> REDWOOD SHORES LANDSCAPE MAINTENANCE DISTRICT NO. <br /> 1995-1 AND AUTHORIZING THE COUNTY TAX COLLECTOR TO <br /> COLLECT SUCH ASSESSMENTS. <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD <br /> CITY, CALIFORNIA AS FOLLOWS: <br /> WHEREAS, on July 28, 1997, voters of the Redwood Shores Landscape <br /> Maintenance District 1995-1 (the "District") approved, by a vote of 89.4% yes to 10.6% <br /> no, the levy of a special tax, the amounts of such tax to be annually calculated in <br /> accordance with the formula set forth in the City Manager's and City Engineer's <br /> '- Reports, heretofore approved by Resolution No. 13107 adopted June 9, 1997 and <br /> confirmed by Resolution No. 13377 adopted June 29, 1998 on each non-exempt parcel <br /> of land in the district; and <br /> WHEREAS, the maximum benefit assessment for fiscal year 2004-2005 is <br /> $165,726.00; and <br /> WHEREAS, the District has the need of the services of the offices of the San <br /> Mateo County Controller and Tax Collector in levying and collecting the special tax; and <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY DETERMINED AND ORDERED AS <br /> FOLLOWS: <br /> 1. The City Council of the City of Redwood City hereby respectfully reqfJests <br /> and authorizes the San Mateo County Tax Controller to include individual tax <br /> ',-" assessments in the County tax bills for the fiscal year 2004-2005 in accordance with <br /> ATTY/RESO/RESO.1463 1 <br /> 042704 <br />
