The purpose of this Agreement is to set out the understanding of SBSA and City <br /> as to their respective roles and responsibilities in the design, construction and <br /> operation of the Project. <br /> 2.0 DESIGN OF FACILITIES <br /> 2.1 DesiQn of Facilities Located on SBSA's Property <br /> SBSA will be solely responsible for the engineering design and preparation of <br /> plans, specifications and Construction Contract Documents for those Project <br /> facilities to be located on SBSA's property and owned by SBSA. These facilities <br /> are described under Items l, 2 and 10 in Attachment One. <br /> SBSA also will be responsible for the engineering design and prepazation of <br /> plans, specifications and Construction Contract Documents for those Project <br /> facilities to be located on SBSA's property and owned by City. These are <br /> described under Items 3 through 9 and 11 in Attachment One. <br /> The engineering design for both City-owned facilities and SBSA-owned facilities <br /> shall conform to City's design criteria, as described in Attachment Two. <br /> SBSA has heretofore undertaken various Project planning and design tasks, with <br /> City's approval, that pertain to facilities to be located on SBSA's property. Those <br /> tasks, the responsible engineering firms, and associated costs aze listed on <br /> Attachment Three. <br /> City ratifies its approval of SBSA's award of the contracts and issuance of the <br /> task orders listed on Attachment Three, and agrees to reimburse SBSA for the <br /> costs heretofore incurred by it, as provided in Section 73.1. <br /> -3- � 09� 3�a.� <br />
