MINUTE ORDER 04-140 <br /> C. Mayor Ira — stated that the Grand Marshall of the Fourth of July parade was <br /> Major Shawn Phillips and that he and Vice Mayor Pierce had dinner with Major <br /> Phillips and his family. He further stated that there is a strong interest in <br /> Redwood City adopting a unit under the guidelines of "America Supporting <br /> Americans". Mayor Ira received consensus from the Council to bring the topic <br /> forward for consideration at a later date. <br /> 10. Adjournment — 10:10 p.m. <br /> Council Member Howard requested adjournment in memory of Jose "Joe" Flores <br /> who passed away on June 27 at the age of 106. Mr. Flores was a 50-year resident of <br /> Redwood City and marched with the veterans in many Fourth of July parades.
