C��2.8-4 . <br /> RESOLUTION NO. RD <br /> RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE REDWOOD CITY <br /> REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY SECRETARY OR HIS/HER DESIGNEE <br /> TO ACCEPT GRANTS, DEEDS AND EASEMENTS ON BEHALF OF <br /> THE REDWOOD CITY REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY <br /> WHEREAS, Section 27281 of the Govemment Code� of the State of Califomia <br /> requires that deeds or grants conveying any interest in or easement upon real estate to <br /> governmental agencies be accepted by the grantee prior to being recorded; and <br /> WHEREAS, said Section 27281 provides a method whereby an officer or agent <br /> may be authorized by the govemmental agencies to accept such deeds or grants on its <br /> behalf; and <br /> WHEREAS, in 1988, the City Council of the City of Redwood City ("City") <br /> adopted Resolution No. 10944 authorizing the then City Clerk to accept grants or deeds <br /> on behalf of the City; and <br /> WHEREAS, a search of Redevelopment Agency records does not reveal a <br /> similar resolution authorizing the Agency Secretary to accept grants or deeds on behalf <br /> of the Agency; and <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE REDWOOD CITY <br /> REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY EXECUTIVE BOARD AS FOLLOWS: <br /> 1. That the Agency Secretary or his/her designee is hereby authorized to accept <br /> all deeds, grants and easements conveying an interest in or upon real estate <br /> on behalf of the Redwood City Redevelopment Agency. <br /> 2. That the acceptance of any deeds, grants or easements by Agency <br /> representatives prior to the adoption of this resolution is hereby ratified. <br /> 3. That this resolution supercedes and replaces all resolutions, or portions <br /> thereof, that specifically relate to the operative provisions of this resolution. <br /> 4.
