The facilities include the
construction of a water main and associated facilities.
Westport Joint Venture has requested that the City accept the improvements for
maintenance. In order for the City to maintain the facilities, Westport Joint Venture is
required to dedicate a public service easement for City access and maintenance of the
facilities.
Westport Joint Venture has submitted the deed and legal description for the public
service easement, prepared by Bohley Consulting. This is the third and last phase of
the Westport Project to be completed. Staff recommends the acceptance of the deed
by City Council.
Alternative
The only altemative is to not accept the offer of the easement, in which case the
watermain could not be maintained by the City.
Fiscal Impacts
There are no fiscal impacts to the City by this action
i
,1 / ,
' , , _ /"': i
1on . c > Joel Patter n c d Everett
`" City En ineer ," Cpmmunity Development Services Director City Manager
JKL:ss
s/library/reports/lynch/IAcceptance_Pub Svc Westport Phase 3
