<br /> (0,1 A-I <br />REPORT <br />':: To the Honorable Mayor and-City Council ..... <br /> From the City Ma'~ ager <br /> <br />June 14,2004 <br />Subject <br />Final Acceptance - Fire Station #9, 3rd Floor Kitchenette Renovation Project <br />Recommendation <br />Accept the improvements for the Fire Station #9, 3rd Floor Kitchenette Renovation <br />Project, and authorize the release of retention and bonds to A & A Construction Co. of <br />Los Gatos, California. <br />Background <br />On February 9, 2004, the City Council awarded the Contract to A & A Construction for <br />the Fire Station #9, 3rd Floor Kitchenette Renovation Project, for the amount of $15,000. <br />Fire Station #9 had been in use for the past 16 years, and the 3rd floor kitchenette <br />(originally designed as a "Break/Lounge Room") has been used as the 3rd floor kitchen, <br />for the Fire Department Staff. With the constant use, the casework and appliances <br />reached the point where replacement was required. With the installation of more <br />casework, new, more efficient appliances, staffs needs are now being met. <br />There was one Change Order issued for $125.00 for an additional water supply line for <br />a coffee maker direct connect (less than 1 % of the Contract cost), which brought the <br />total construction cost to $15,125.00.. <br />Alternative <br />Do not accept the improvements for the Fire Station #9, 3rd Floor Kitchenette <br />Renovation Project, which would be contrary to prior Council action. <br />Fiscal Impacts <br />Funds in the amount of $18,000 are appropriated in the FY 2003-2004 Capital <br />Improvement Program budget under the Civic Facilities Miscellaneous Replacement <br />Program, for this project. <br /> Ed Everett <br /> City Manager <br />jPIBL:ss <br />Sl/ibrary/reportsllynch/AccepCFS #9 Kitchenette Renovation <br />
