V ' � r <br /> � � <br /> REPORT <br /> To the Honorable Mayor and City Council <br /> From the Ci Mana er <br /> October 25, 2004 <br /> Subject <br /> Final Acceptance — Garrett Park Storm Drain Culvert Improvements Project <br /> Recommendation <br /> Accept the Garrett Park Storm Drain Culvert Improvements Project, and authorize the <br /> release of bonds. <br /> Background <br /> On June 28, 2004, the City Council awarded the contract for this project to Bianchi <br /> Construction of San Jose, Califomia, for an amount of $ 76,298.00. <br /> The work performed consisted of construction and modifications of the culvert entrance <br /> concrete wall structure; installation of new galvanized steel trash rack, grates and <br /> bearing steel frames; construction of new rip-rap slope protection, and construction of <br /> new concrete masonry unit (CMU) wall. <br /> All work was completed in conformance with the Contract Documents, and to the <br /> satisfaction of Engineering & Construction Services. <br /> Alternative <br /> Do not accept the Garrett Park Storm Drain Culvert Improvements Project which would <br /> be contrary to prior Council action. <br /> Fiscal Impacts <br /> Funds in the amount of $ 156,788.00 were appropriated in the FY 2003-2004 Capital <br /> Improvements Program Budget for this project. <br /> t� � <br /> ����� <br /> � �/ <br /> Saber Sarwary a/` I P tterson d verett <br /> Senior Civil Engineer ommunity Development Services Director City Manager <br /> cc:ss <br /> S/library/reports/saberlacceptance�artett park stortn SD <br /> . . _ , <br />
