The tertiary
treated recycled water from the improved SBSA Treatment Plant will benefit Redwood City
businesses and Home Owners Associations that voluntarily choose to use recycled water for
landscape irrigation. This will help to preserve increasingly scarce Hetch Hetchy drinking water
for essential human uses.
The treatment plant improvements will be contained within a single 51,700 square foot concrete
structure located on treatment plant property. This structure will be seven feet higher than
existing grade of the surrounding area and will contain disinfection contact tanks, storage tanks,
a distribution pump station, and ancillary support equipment including underground pipelines
and utilities. The perimeter of the area will have a security fence shielded from view by
landscaping on the west and north sides of the structure. Access to and from this new facility
will be through the gate of the existing treatment plant site.
„
   ► "`° , ..
._ H - _ ;.,

y n. ....._ -
 l
.,
.._... ..Xr'v`e..,.:«"A:.:vL"u'"
.wa' n .. .._^@ ....Ja"- i
. ifSXwr .. .lrt-. y :.
t , j . S M .. - ..
 , ..`,."""," b .
