PROPOSED BUDGET AND COMPENSATION 3.1 CONTRACT FEE The estimated contract fee for professional labor and miscellaneous costs to complete the work scope described in section 2 herein totals $91,455. A cost breakdown and associated labor estimate breakdown are provided in Tables 4 and 5, respectively. The cost estimate assumes that the cost to prepare and deliver the responses to comments memorandum (administrative draft and final draft) will not exceed $6,320 (16 principal hours; 24 senior planner hours). The estimate includes a 5 percent contingency amount for use in the event that unforeseen additional services, report copies, meeting attendance, etc., beyond the scope described herein, is requested by the City. No amount of the contingency subtotal will be used without City staff permission. 3.2 COMPENSATION Payments by the City to Wagstaff and Associates for services rendered in accordance with the scope of services and schedule described herein will be made on a monthly basis based upon submission of monthly statements, itemizing charges, including monthly totals and running totals. The payment schedule will be as follows: a. Monthly payments not exceeding 75 percent of the total fee prior to completion of the Administrative Draft EIR Addendum; b. Monthly payments not exceeding 80 percent of the total fee prior to completion of the "Screen Check" EIR Addendum; c. Monthly payments not exceeding 90 percent of the total fee prior to completion of the pUblic release EIR Addendum; and d. Monthly payments not exceeding 100 percent of the total fee prior to City adoption of the final EIR Addendum, or 75 days after submittal of the final Addendum, whichever occurs first.
